"Tom disappeared from his Mother's life in his 20's and lived shiftlessly on the West Coast. He reappeared in Grants Pass, Oregon where he was dealing in antiques. For a time he lived in Springfield, Oregon where we got reacquainted and saw quite a bit of each other. Then he suddenly disappeared again and moved back to Grants Pass. The last time I saw him was in the fall of 1990 when his first cousin, Carole Hanson (my second cousin) spent a sabbatical term at the University of Oregon.

We think Tom was gay, which was why he felt he needed to disappear." -- Betty Stewart

"Tom has lived on both coasts of the US and is now an antique dealer in Springfield, OR." -- Grønevik, Alma Henden Stewart (1987.)5,6
