Walter Leigh Tarrant married Martha Elizabeth Landon, daughter of Charles Albert Landon and Elizabeth Redmond, on 23 October 1912 at Marlette Methodist parsonage, Marlette, Sanilac, Michigan.1,6,7 Walter Leigh Tarrant was registered for the draft on 5 June 1917 at Marlette, Sanilac, Michigan; Walter was described as married with two children, medium height with slender build, blue eyes and dark brown hair.5 He was for 22 years at Saginaw.8

Walter Leigh Tarrant died on 5 October 1969 at St. Luke's Hospital, Saginaw, Saginaw, Michigan, at age 82.9,2,8 He was buried on 8 October 1969 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw, Michigan.8
