Olive Tarrant, ca 1940
     Olive Irene Tarrant was born on 26 February 1917 at Marlette, Sanilac, Michigan, daughter of Walter Leigh Tarrant and Martha Elizabeth Landon.1 Olive Irene Tarrant was christened on 4 July 1917 at Marlette Township, Sanilac, Michigan; with water from the Jordan River.2

Olive Irene Tarrant married Phillip John Hoefling, son of Phillip George Hoefling and Julia Louise McGowan, on 24 May 1941 at at her parents' home, Saginaw, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Victor D. Longfield performed the ceremony.1

Olive Irene Tarrant died on 14 July 1991 at Cottonwood, Yavapai, Arizona, at age 74 of metastasized pleural cancer.1 Her ashes were scattered from a campground on Mingus Mountain near Cottonwood by her husband, son and daughter-in-law say 17 July 1991.3
