     William Paul Martins was born on 9 April 1861 at Drossen, Drossen, Brandenburg, PrussiaB,G.1,2,3 He was the son of Friederick Carl Otto Martins and Caroline Summerfelt.3
     Wilhelm Martins was born circa 1863 at GermanyB,G.4 He petitioned the court to become a citizen on 30 October 1886 at Rochester, Olmsted, Minnesota, USAB,G.5

     William Paul Martins married Emelia Macknick on 26 July 1890 at Rochester, MNB,G, at age 29.6 William Paul Martins was naturalized on 22 December 1896 at Olmsted County, Minnesota, USAB,G.7
     William Paul Martins died on 21 February 1940 at St. Cloud, Stearns, Minnesota, USAB,G, at age 78.1,8

In 1900, William went with his brother Karl to Revillo, South Dakota, where they engaged in farming. After he married Amelia Macheneick they settled in Rochester for six years, and then moved to Revillo for 13 years, where they had a farm south of town. They then moved to Raymond, Minnesota where they farmed for 17 1/2 years, after which they retired to 21 McKinley North, St. Cloud, Minnesota. They had 10 children.9
