     Gordon Curtis Barber was born on 16 August 1899 at Merrill, Lincoln, Wisconsin, USA.1,2 He was the son of Guy L. Barber and Delia Sharkey.1
     Gordon Curtis Barber died on 10 June 1918 at Château-Thierry, Aisne, Picardy, France, at age 18, killed in action in the Battle of Paris in World War I. His body was returned to the US in August, 1921.1 He was buried on 2 September 1921 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids, Wood, Wisconsin, USA.1
     Gordon's obituary was published in the Wood County Tribune on 7 September 1921 at Grand Rapids, Wood, Wisconsin, USA.1
