     Frank William Zanzig was born on 5 January 1892 at Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USAB,G.1,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Wilhelm (Friederich) Christoph Zanzich and Amelia Wrasse.1 Frank William Zanzig was an iron worker in 1910.7
     Frank William Zanzig was registered for the draft on 5 June 1917 at Chicago, Cook, IllinoisB,G; Frank is described as a bricklayer working for Louis Tiemann, 4950 Aberdeen St; single; medium height, medium build, blue eyes, light hair.8

In the Fall of 1917, the Bureau of Investigation (later to become the FBI) opened a file on Frank W. Zenig, suspecting him of evading the draft. He was supposed to have been enlisted in the First Illinois National Guard at Camp Logan (Houston, Texas). They corrected the name and found him at Camp Logan as a machinist in Company I, 131st infantry, serial no. 1347, order no. 474. They closed the matter recommending no further action on 17 November 1917 at 9230 Loomis St., Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USAB,G.9 He served in the Army between 20 June 1918 and 5 June 1919.10 He was a bricklayer on 6 December 1920 at Chicago, Cook, IllinoisB,G.11,5

     Frank William Zanzig married Catherine Pauline Weinheimer on 20 April 1922 at Chicago, Cook, IllinoisB,G, at age 30.1,12,13 Frank William Zanzig was a bricklayer in building construction between 1920 and 1930.5,13 He was a truck driver for wholesale gasoline on 28 April 1940.6
     Frank William Zanzig died on 28 July 1983 at Mountain Home, Baxter, Arkansas, USAB,G, at age 91.1,14
