     James P. Barber was born on 23 June 1858 at Glenbeulah, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA.2,3,4,5 He was the son of James Wesley Barber and Elizabeth Ann Boyer.6 The attached photo shows James, Lizzie, and probably their two oldest boys James Parker and Alvin O., about 1875 in Sheboygan.7

     James P. Barber married Matilda Kohl, daughter of Steven Kohl and Caroline Erbe, on 27 October 1886 at Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA, at age 28.8,9,10,3
     James P. Barber died on 8 December 1940 at La Crosse, La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA, at age 82.11,4 He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Nekoosa, Wood, Wisconsin, USA.4
