     Alvin O. Barber was born on 20 September 1869 at Town of Plymouth, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA.4,3,1,2,5 He was the son of James Wesley Barber and Elizabeth Ann Boyer.3,1 The attached photo shows James, Lizzie, and probably their two oldest boys James Parker and Alvin O., about 1875 in Sheboygan.6

     Alvin O. Barber married Gusta M. Zehr, daughter of Herman Zehr and Mary Wallitzky, on 9 August 1892 at Town of Cascade, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA, at age 22.7,8
     Alvin O. Barber died on 20 May 1893 at Iron Mountain, Dickinson, Michigan, USA, at age 23 killed in a railroad yard at Iron Mountain. He was "caught by a cable and thrown from the top of a car onto the track, and instantly killed. His head was severed from his body, fourteen cars having passed over him. Mr. Barber was twenty..." (cut off.)9,10,11 He was buried in 1893 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cascade, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA.11
