     Joshua Landon was born on 27 September 1754, son of William Landon and Mercy Orange.1 Joshua Landon enlisted on 1 November 1775 as a private in Capt. Archibald Shaw's 8th Company, Col. William Maxwell's 2nd Regiment, First Establishment, N. J. Continental Line.1
     Joshua Landon died on 3 July 1778 at Wyoming, Essex, New Jersey, USAB,G, at age 23 at the Wyoming Massacre in the Revolutionary War.1
