Nathaniel Landon was born on 9 January 1757 at Hardwick Township, Sussex, New Jersey, USAB,G, son of William Landon and Mercy Orange.1,2,3 Nathaniel Landon enlisted on 14 November 1775 at Hackettstown, Sussex, New Jersey, USAB,G, "for one year as a Private in Capt. Archibald Shaw's Company, under Col. William Maxwell, and about Feb. 1, following, went on an expedition to Canada."2 He served Capt. Shaw deserts to British; company disbanded in April 1776 at Ticonderoga, Essex, New York, USAB,G.2 He served volunteered at Warwick and served for one month under Col. Henry Wisner in the New York Troops in February 1777 at Warwick, Orange, New York, USAB,G.2
Nathaniel Landon married Hannah Greene in 1778.4 Nathaniel Landon enlisted as an Indian spy for three years. "During this period he went out on tours against the Indians, under Captains Boone and Robinson and Col. Hartley. He was in engagements at Fort Freeland, Tioga and Wyoming" beginning in between 1778 and 1781 at Muncy, Northumberland, Pennsylvania, USAB,G.2 He enlisted and served one month as a Private in Capt. Robinson's Company, under Col Elder. beginning in 1782 at Muncy, PennsylvaniaB,G.2
Nathaniel Landon died on 14 November 1850 at London, Middlesex, Ontario, CanadaB,G, at age 93.5
