     Bertha Ellen Henden was born on 1 August 1904 at Clarkfield, Friendship Township, Yellow Medicine, Minnesota, USA.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Ole Abrahamson Henden and Oline Eriksdatter Vik.4,1 The photo shows Oline, her sister Nelle, Alma and Bertha Henden and Bertine Waldrof in 1905.

"After graduating from high school in Clarkfield, Bertha attended the Lutheran Normal School in Madison, Minnesota, graduating June 2, 1922. She must have taken the two year course because she was qualified to teach in rural schools. Town schools required more training. A loose class day program in her "Normal School Echo" says "Madison LNS. May 28, 1925-1926 When I taught there" in Bertha's writing." -- Betty Stewart.5

     Bertha Ellen Henden married Clarence Sylvester Rosetter, son of Louis C. Rosetter and Bertine Magdalene Hagen, on 28 June 1930 at Bergen Church, Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine, Minnesota, USA, at age 25.6 Bertha and Clarence had two sons and a daughter.7
     Bertha Ellen Henden died on 29 January 1973 at Granite Falls, Yellow Medicine, Minnesota, USA, at age 68 of lung cancer, although never a smoker.8,9 She was buried at Bergen Church Cemetery, Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine, Minnesota, USA.1

Bertha had a strong interest in music.1
