     Thomas Brice Blount died on 5 December 2005 at Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska, USA, at age 86.2
     Thomas's obituary was published in the Appleton Post-Crescent on 8 December 2005.2 His obituary states
"Blount, Thomas Brice
Thomas Brice Blount, 86, died unexpectedly Monday, December 5, 2005, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born June 15, 1919 in Appleton, Wisconsin. Tom was a World War II veteran, serving four and one-half years, including two continuous years in the South Pacific. He owned and operated Wisconsin Food Market and worked in the food industry throughout his life until his retirement as Vice President of Monarch and Richelieu Sales. Tom and Peggy enjoyed their retirement years in Omaha, Nebraska, Archibald Lake, Wisconsin and Bradenton, Florida.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Peggy (Grove); three sons, two daughters and their spouses: Tom Jr. and Flory Blount of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Beverly and Gordon Smith of Raleigh, North Carolina; Martin and Sandra Blount of West Des Moines, Iowa; Cary and Gerald Sharkey of Omaha, Nebraska; John and Barbara Blount of Castle Rock, Colorado; eleven grandchildren: Sam, Michael, Carly, Amanda, Marty, Ted, Hallie, Jerry, Tom, Jane, Sarah; and one great-grandson, Silas. He is also survived by his brother and wife, Percy Jr. and Geraldine Blount of Appleton; nieces: Susan Kaye, Brenda Houfek, Nancy Kubera and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Sr. and Joyce (Taylor) Blount; his brother, Glenn Blount.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, December 10th, 11 a.m., at First Central Congregational Church, 421 S. 36th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68131. Memorials may be directed to the First Central Congregational Church or the Nature Conservancy."2
