     William Jacob Collingham was born on 22 April 1905 at York County, Nebraska, USAB,G.1,2 He was the son of John Franklin Collingham and Anna M. Smith.1,2

     William Jacob Collingham married Anna May Zanzig, daughter of Wilhelm Emil Heinrich Zanzig and Susan Lorena Collingham, on 20 February 1930 at Julesburg, Sedgwick, Colorado, USAB,G, at age 24; they were first cousins.3,4

William Jacob "Jake" Collingham, 96, of York died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at York.
He was born April 22, 1905, in York County to John and Anna (Smith) Collingham. He married Anna Zanzig on June 29, 1929. Anna died on April 14, 1981. Jake was a lifetime resident of York. He worked for York County Road Department for 17 years and then worked for Scott-Hourigan for 33 years. Jake also owned and operated a repair shop for many years in York. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and John Van Patten, and his son, William "Bill" Collingham, all of York; grandchildren, Mark and James Collingham of York, John Van Patten Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., Dale Van Patten of Gilbert, Ariz., and Ronald Van Patten of Stafford, Va. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, two daughters, a granddaughter, six sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in York with the Rev. Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery near Bradshaw. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church. Visitation will begin Saturday afternoon. Metz Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.* *."1
