     "Fred was drafted into the Army during WWI. When he was home over the holidays, he and Louise were married. After Fred was discharged from the service he started a water well drilling business with his younger brother, my dad, Ben. They were well drillers for most of 30 years because they both enjoyed the work. Ben left the business in 1947 to farm full time and to be with his family more while Fred continued drilling.
